Toddler Open Gym in Belgrade

Parents and their smaller kiddos can enjoy playtime each Monday at the Belgrade Community Center.  Open gym starts at 10:15 and can be a great excuse to get your littlest ones out of the house.

Kennebec Rail Trail

Are the kids feeling fidgety? Why not set them loose on the Kennebec Rail Trail. The rail trail runs along the Kennebec River, connecting the communities of Augusta, Hallowell and Gardiner via a fantastic paved path. It’s perfect for walking, running or biking. The trail offers several scenic stops with benches overlooking the river where you can sit and watch the bald eagles circle above while the massive sturgeon splash below. You can even bring Fido along!

Waterfront Concert Series in Gardiner

Is your child an aspiring musician or perhaps a free spirit who loves to get up dance? Each Friday, there is a FREE concert at the Waterfront Park in Gardiner. The shows start at 6:00PM, rain or shine and food vendors are onsite to help take care of dinner. There are plenty of additional children’s activities too.

Movie Nights in Benton

Each Friday and Saturday night this summer, Benton Family Fun Park is showing family-friendly movies. On Friday nights, the movies are $3 geared towards older kids, while Saturday nights are FREE and will cater to the littler ones.

Either way, it’s a cheap night out that the whole family can enjoy.
